CAMPBELL barn

New Timber Frame, Oakland TWP MI - The Owners of this Historic Estate wanted a “Historic Barn” for the property but they were unable to take the time to find a historic barn to move onto the property. As a compromise, we duplicated the cut of a typical barn found in SE MI in the 1830’s. After discussions surrounding its historical significance, it was recognized that the building would be appropriate for the application, and that in 100 years it would, in fact, be historic!

New Timber Frame, Monroe MI - This Barn is meant to be a close replica of a Barn that sat on the site following the Battle of French Town (the war of 1812)  This new-construction is a replica of an 1830's timber frame with the high pitched roof typical of the French in that era.  The roof board roofing running with the run of the roof is Historically correct and common to a number of vintage Barns in this same area.  These grounds are on the National Register of Historic Places.
